Brightree requires that all users have a valid username and password to access the Brightree Network. Also we utilize the industry standard 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to secure data as it travels back and forth to the Brightree Network. SSL is an encryption method for protecting your data between your computer and our network. Nearly all of the leading financial and online trading companies use a similar encryption methodology to secure data. We also employ SSL acceleration hardware to allow a fast secure connection. Brightree normally releases two (2) major product upgrades each year. All upgrades will occur instantly for you after thorough testing, quality assurance, and BETA testing. When you logon to the site, the upgrades will be there. You don't need to do anything but enjoy the benefits. Brightree manages the performance of the entire application, including enhancements and additional functionality. Virtually any ink jet or laser printer will work with the Brightree system. Brightree can print everything on plain computer paper, or directly on forms. Brightree requires two simple components to utilize bar coding: (1) A printer that will produce the bar code labels; and (2) a scanner that will electronically read the labels and transfer the data to the Brightree application. Any type of Internet connection will work with Brightree's Microsoft .NET platform. The system is optimized for dial-up connections, but you may desire faster broadband connectivity (cable modems, DSL, ISDN, and T-1) based on the number of users and/or locations utilizing Brightree.

The Microsoft .NET platform is unique in that it enables developers to create programs that transcend device boundaries and help you fully harness the connectivity of the Internet.
Your data is housed on Brightree servers in 2 redundant locations 700 miles apart and is backed up nightly, so it is absolutely safe. The $150 million data centers which Brightree employs provide the highest degree of security, connectivity and redundancy available, and are operational 24 X 7 X 365. Both centers utilize state of the art technology, including biometrics, for access into the secure areas; and have redundant power and data connections, as well as their own power generators and backup. Each facility is climate controlled and monitored at all times.
