Brightree Leads Panel on Clinician Recruitment and Technology Adoption in Home Health and Hospice Care
Health care industry leaders to explore pros and cons of technology use in clinician engagement and recruitment
ATLANTA – March 29, 2017 – Brightree®, a leading provider of cloud-based software to improve clinical and business performance of post-acute care companies, announced today it will lead a panel on how technology affects clinician recruitment and job satisfaction at the Association for Home and Hospice Care of N.C.’s annual conference in Durham on April 4, between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. ET.
The panel, titled “Clinician Recruitment, Retention and Satisfaction: Does Technology Help or Hinder,” will explore the use of technology in home health and hospice care and how it affects clinician recruitment, retention, on-boarding and job satisfaction. Brightree product marketing director Melissa Polly will join Brightree clinical product specialist Kerri Harpole, RN, BSN, along with Tarrah Lowry-Schreiner, President & CEO of Sangre de Cristo Hospice & Palliative Care and Wendy Cofran, CIO of Natick VNA, to discuss how to engage clinicians in a model that supports both the provider and patient, while making sure clinicians get the most out of their technology.
“Recent changes, whether regulatory drivers or value-based care initiatives, have shifted care providers’ outlook on emerging technologies and the part they can play in their daily tasks,” said Polly. “This is why care providers must re-evaluate their care models and whether or not technology is acting as a support to their clinician recruitment and engagement programs – as it relates to the quality and operational efficiency of their organization.”
“In the coming years, technology will continue to revolutionize how home care providers deliver vital services to patients and consumers,” said Harpole. “Because the benefits of new technologies within the hospice and home health care space are only beginning to be understood, this panel is designed to help attendees narrow their focus while identifying which technologies will support their individual care model.”
