Philips Respironics and Brightree Team Up to Improve HME Workflow Efficiency and Patient Sleep Therapy Compliance
Integration of management solutions will enable better monitoring of patient treatment and compliance, improving care and reducing costs
October 10, 2014 – Philips Respironics , a division of Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG AEX: PHIA) and a global leader in the sleep and respiratory markets, announced the signing of an agreement withBrightree®, the leading provider of cloud-based clinical, business management and billing software solutions for the post-acute care industry, to integrate data from Philips’ EncoreAnywhere platform with Brightree’s web-based billing and business management platform. This data interoperability agreement will enable joint customers to better track and manage therapy compliance of sleep-disordered breathing patients and is part of Philips’ ongoing commitment to develop end-to-end sleep solutions across the entire continuum of care – from prevention to diagnosis and treatment through wellness.

The integration of Brightree’s HME billing and business management platform with Philips EncoreAnywhere automates the patient data entry process, improving the HME’s staff efficiency and accuracy of entering and tracking their patients’ sleep therapy compliance. The integration is bidirectional, meaning Brightree will share and allow for patient registration and demographic information to be populated into EncoreAnywhere, and compliance and therapy adherence reports generated by Philips software will be shared and viewable in Brightree solutions, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry. HME customers will be able to deliver a higher level of connected care with more accuracy in less time, which will help reduce costs and improve patient compliance.
