Leadership Team

An accomplished senior operational and financial professional with over 25 years of progressive experience in the healthcare industry, Matt Mellott is Brightree’s Chief Executive Officer. Matt has extensive operational and financial experience in a wide range of healthcare environments, including home health, home medical equipment, hospice, infusion therapy, skilled nursing facilities, physician practice management and sleep disorder diagnostic testing.

From 2008 until 2016, Matt served as President of MedBridge Healthcare, a sleep disorder diagnostic testing and respiratory therapy provider that he co-founded in 2004 after leading a management buyout of the sleep diagnostic subsidiary of his former employer, American Healthcare Services. Before serving as president, Matt was MedBridge’s Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure at MedBridge, Matt developed and implemented the organization’s growth strategy—defining its service offerings and delivery models, establishing partnerships, and building its infrastructure. Over twelve years, MedBridge grew to include 140 sleep disorder centers and 21 home medical equipment locations across 22 states.

Previously, Matt served as Chief Financial Officer of American Healthcare Services (2001-2004), a physician practice management company, and Medshares (2000-2001), a home health nursing firm. Before that, he was Vice President of Finance for Beverly Home Care, the $125 million homecare division of a $2.4 billion longer-term care provider. In addition, he served in a variety of financial roles of increasing responsibility at Integrated Health Services, Inc., a national post-acute care provider. Earlier in his career, Matt spent several years in public accounting at KPMG’s Healthcare Audit Practice.

Matt is a Board Member of the National Sleep Foundation and a Founding Member of the Sleep Coalition, which was formed in 2008 to work with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on payment and coverage policies regarding sleep diagnostic testing and CPAP therapy. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola University in Maryland, and is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Bobby Ghoshal has over 25 years of experience as a technology executive leveraging technology to transform business outcomes. Prior to joining Brightree as Chief Operating Officer in 2016, Bobby led the Americas information technology organization at ResMed for four years. During this time, Bobby helped envision and successfully implement a company-wide analytics strategy as well as new platforms which included innovation in system integration, collaboration, converged infrastructure, and digital commerce.

Prior to ResMed, Bobby led the IT Strategy, Governance and Architecture organization at Freescale Semiconductor, a $4.5B company, where he was responsible for all application and infrastructure domains. Under his leadership, the innovations and achievements of his team earned Freescale several highly respected industry awards, including TDWI, CIO 100 and InformationWeek 500. Before Freescale, Bobby worked at several large corporations in the financial and utilities sectors where he was involved in delivering successful system implementations.

Bobby earned his Bachelor of Technology, Electronics Engineering, from the National Institute of Technology in Calicut, India. He also has an MBA in High Technology from Arizona State University.

Suzanne Henderson serves as Brightree’s Chief Technology Officer, where she is responsible for managing the company’s global product development and IT resources as well as its data center operations.

Prior to joining Brightree, Suzanne led the product development efforts at both global enterprise software companies such as IBM, Geac Computer Corporation, Clarus Corporation and Omnilink and start-up organizations like GuardedNet and TerraGo Technologies.

Gary Long has nearly 25 years of experience in the medical, software and Internet technology fields. Beginning in 2001, Gary was President of Recall Systems, an Internet Benefits Portal Company, until being acquired by Healthx, Inc. in 2005.

Prior to Recall Systems, Gary held leadership roles as COO of Miracleworkers.com, an Internet medical jobs site; and as Senior Vice President of Sales – Americas at IQ Software (now owned by Computer Associates), which provides Internet reporting and business intelligence solutions to Fortune 1000 companies.

Gary holds an MBA from the University of Arkansas, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Harding University.

Matt Peace is a financial executive bringing over 20 years of experience, including 17 years in senior financial roles, to the role of Chief Financial Officer of the Brightree division.

Prior to joining Brightree, he was VP Assistant Controller of Infor Global Solutions, a $2.8 billion worldwide ERP software and services company, Corporate Controller of Cbeyond, Inc., a publicly traded worldwide managed service provider of voice over internet protocol (VOIP) packages for small to mid-size businesses and Assistant Corporate Controller of IBM Internet Security Systems, Inc., a publicly traded worldwide provider of intrusion detection and prevention software and hardware.

Matt is a Certified Public Accountant and has a B.S. in Accounting from Clayton State University.

Robert Boeye serves as Brightree’s Executive Vice President HME where he is responsible for leading HME sales efforts and revenue growth. Rob is a seasoned executive with experience in sales leadership, revenue strategy, product development, and training management.

Prior to joining Brightree, Rob spent 18 years with Invacare Corporation, where he served as a sales leader in both the home care and long-term care markets, growing revenue by millions of dollars in each of his roles. He also served in management roles at Abbott Laboratories.

Rob has direct insight into the business challenges of post-acute care providers, and calls upon this experience in matching Brightree solutions with their real-world business needs. He holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Ambrose University.

Shaw Rietkerk is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Brightree’s Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) business unit, where he leads a team of billing and collection specialists who help Brightree customers manage their Accounts Receivables from commercial payers.

Shaw has over 20 years of healthcare services leadership experience within the clinical documentation area, including an extensive background in operations, account management, process integration and technology support services. Most recently, Shaw was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations at M*Modal, responsible for managing domestic and global service performance, customer satisfaction and the integration of acquired companies into the M*Modal operations model.

Prior to M*Modal, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Practical Knowledge Solutions, where he managed multiple consulting projects focused on the startup of global and domestic transcription companies.

Mark Blount serves as Vice President, Marketing where he is responsible for demand generation, go-to-market strategy and execution, branding, and market development for Brightree’s cloud-based post-acute care solutions.

Mark has over 25 years of marketing and sales management experience with Fortune 100 corporations as well as start-up/medium-sized companies in the technology and software sectors. He began his career with AT&T and later held marketing/sales leadership positions at BellSouth, ExecuTrain, Alogent, Home Wireless Networks, Emergency Visions, mBlast and Adtech Global. Mark served as Vice President, Marketing at Brightree from 2005-2010, and was instrumental in the company’s early growth and rapid ascension to become the leading software solution for HME/DME providers. In 2015, he returned to Brightree as Vice President, Marketing.

Mark served as Vice President of The Technology Marketing Association of Georgia 1999-2005; and is Executive Director of The Herring Foundation of Hope, a non-profit organization which assists hundreds of cancer patients annually across the USA.

He received an undergraduate degree from The University of Georgia, and he earned an MBA in Marketing from Mercer University with national academic honors.

Liz Brown serves as Vice President, Customer Satisfaction where she is responsible for Professional Services which includes Project Management, Consulting Services, Data Conversion, Training, Extended Services and Customer Support. She has more than 25 years’ experience servicing global customers in the information technology, financial services and HCM industries with a passion for customer satisfaction.

Prior to Brightree, Brown served as chief operating officer at S2Verify LLC, a startup firm, where she developed the Customer Support, Vendor Management and Outsourcing programs in support of the background screening technology platform. Before that, she served as vice president, Client Satisfaction, Screening Solutions at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, where she managed the Strategic Account Management, Implementation and Customer Support teams accountable for 80 percent of the divisional revenue. Brown also has held various customer satisfaction and operations leadership roles at ChoicePoint, Inc., S1 Corporation, Witness Systems, Dun&Bradstreet Software and MSA, Inc.

Jana Macon serves as Vice President, Home Health and Hospice, where she is responsible for sales, account management and partner programs, in addition to the overall success of the business. Jana has been a member of the Brightree Executive Team for 10 years, and has more than 20 years of experience in directing and managing operational aspects of software development, implementation, support, sales and overall customer success.

Prior to joining Brightree, Jana was Director of Customer Services at IQ Software where she led a team that managed all post-sales consulting, implementation, and training. Before that, Jana held various roles at Precision Software, including: Quality Assurance Analyst, Customer Support Manager, and Training and Implementation Manager.

Jana earned a BSIS, Bachelors of Computer Science – Information Science from Christopher Newport University.

Glen McDonnell serves as Brightree’s General Counsel where he is responsible for providing comprehensive legal services to the Company. He has been representing both public and private companies for more than 20 years. He has been at Brightree for the last five years.

Prior to joining Brightree, Glen led the legal functions of both NexCen Franchise Management and Kodak Dental Systems. Before that, he served as an associate at Kilpatrick Stockton in Atlanta, where he was a member of the firm’s Corporate and M&A group and helped found its Technology group, and also served as an associate at Brown & Wood in New York, where his practice focused on structured derivatives and private offshore equity funds, all of which followed his performance of a judicial clerkship.

Glen earned his Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Emory University.

Steve Rogers serves as Vice President, Product Management where he is responsible for product strategy, feature prioritization and product roadmap across Brightree’s portfolio of cloud-based post-acute care solutions.

Steve brings more than 20 years of experience in software product development and product management with the last 7 being on SaaS / cloud applications. He has an extensive background developing, managing, integrating and supporting complex technology products in a variety of settings – from startups to global firms. His previous roles include director of product management at Nuesoft Technologies in ambulatory care practice management and EHR, vice president of product management and engineering operations at Imbee, Inc., and vice president of both global service and support and product management at Zhone Technologies. In addition to his strong project management and technical background, Rogers offers an innovative approach to product development and customer service.

Steve earned a BS in civil engineering and an MS in computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
