— New custom Brightree Application Programming Interface (API) creates robust integration between Brightree Business Management Solution for Pharmacy and MedEdge’s 340B Validation Services for more streamlined transactions
ATLANTA — May 17, 2021 — Brightree today announced it has integrated its Brightree Business Management Solution for Pharmacy with 340B Validation Services from MedEdge Solutions, an innovative custom software solutions, data analytics and technical consulting company, to create a robust web-based tool for managing 340B data, submissions to third-party administrators (TPAs) and reporting.
The new Brightree 340B Reporter, which directly integrates with Brightree dispensing data, enables Brightree pharmacy and home infusion customers to review and edit their 340B data before submitting, automatically schedule submissions on a customized timeline, track claims validations and payments and easily identify trends based on payer, item or physician. It also allows users to set specific rules for various 340B contracts and validates each submission ahead of time so providers can address any issues, such as errors or incomplete documentation, before submitting for increased efficiencies and more streamlined operations.
“This integration emphasizes Brightree’s continued commitment to providing a robust and customizable software experience for our customers,” said Jen Keiser, senior director of pharmacy product management at Brightree. “The strong real-time connection between Brightree and MedEdge will streamline workflows, automate the important 340B filing process and shorten time between claims and payment, all with user-friendly access to data and analytics to improve decision making.”
The tool uses Brightree’s new custom API to securely access data on prescriptions, insurance providers, inventory and physicians. This new central platform for automating and managing 340B-related processes allows pharmacy and home infusion customers to efficiently dispense data for claims and analyze trends that impact revenue and billing. The new Brightree 340B Reporter allows access to seven major 340B TPAs, including Pharmaceutical Strategies Group (PSG), MacroHelix, Verity and Sentry, with the ability to integrate other TPAs as needed.
“We are excited to offer Brightree pharmacy and home infusion customers more power over their 340B processes with this ability to utilize MedEdge’s custom software capabilities and data analytics,” said Nurpura Kolwalkar, Brightree Chief Product Officer.
Brightree Business Management Solution for Pharmacy is an all-in-one suite that brings automation to every step of the pharmacy and home infusion workflow, from referrals and patient intake through receivables and reporting. The new Brightree 340B Reporter is now available to current and prospective Brightree pharmacy and home infusion customers. For more information, contact your Brightree representative.
